Plaza de San Jose and Other San Juan Sites
Featuring a centrally located monument honoring the first governor of Puerto Rico, Juan Ponce de Leon, Plaza san Jose is one of the most popular tourist destination in Old San Juan and remains to this day a widely popular meeting place, where visitors and locals alike come together to socialize, and relax. A sister fortress, Castillo de San Cristobal also boasts impressive size, and consists of five defensive structures connected by a complex of tunnels and moats.
